Christmas in Malaysia

This year I am celebrating a different Christmas. A hot one, far away from home, from family and from the customs that we have been doing for years. 

Christmas in Malaysia is very different, first of all because of the Muslim community that doesn’t celebrate it. Here you will miss the smell of a fresh Christmas tree, the smell of good food or the cold and the snow. 

Luckily, I have the expat friends who also miss all these things and together we created an international Christmas dinner, with goodies and stories, which turned out to be a great night. 

So, the Christmas celebrated by Uruguay, Kazakstan, Argentina, Hungary, Romania, Philipines, Indonesia and San Salvador looked something like this:
